Printmaker and visual artist from Córdoba, Veracruz, based in Oaxaca for decades.
Three-time FONCA grant recipient, winner of the National Painting Biennial in 1990, and founder of the Assembly of Revolutionary Artists of Oaxaca in 2006. Since 2021 he has directed Colectivo Subterráneos — one of Mexico's most relevant political printmaking collectives, with exhibitions across the United States, Canada, Spain, and Peru. His large-format printwork uses the graphic arts as a tool of collective memory and social critique.
